What you'll be doing:

As Chief Accountant, you’ll take ownership of Avon’s financial reporting and compliance for one of our Commercial Markets Germany. You’ll ensure that our accounting records are accurate, complete, and aligned with both local regulations and global standards. You’ll lead the preparation of statutory financial statements, manage audits and inspections, and support tax and internal control processes. Your work will help build trust and confidence in our financial results, enabling our leaders to make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities:

What you'll be working on:

• Monthly and Annual Financial and Tax reporting (not limited to VAT calculation) including statutory filings and US GAAP adjustments
• Leading the internal and external statutory audit process and managing relationships with external providers
• Ensuring compliance with SOX controls and internal procedures
• Collaborating with global teams to improve processes and share best practices
• Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing them into Avon’s operations
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial variances
• Driving continuous improvement and knowledge development across the finance function

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a multinational company
• Degree in Tax and Accounting, along with a professional accounting certification
• Strong knowledge of HGB, IFRS and US GAAP standards
• Excellent German and English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Ability to stay organized and meet tight deadlines
• Curiosity, learning agility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Comfort working in a multicultural environment
