POSITION OVERVIEW:
At Apollo, we’re a global team of alternative investment managers passionate about delivering uncommon value to our investors and shareholders. The Transformation Management team works across Apollo focusing on strategic advisory, project management, and process improvement. We partner cross-functionally to enable the firm to successfully execute key strategic initiatives, to problem solve for complex objectives, and to provide expertise and resourcing for program/project management and process assessment/improvement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own delivery of one or more workstreams, or smaller projects within broader transformation programs,against agreed scope, timeline, milestones, and KPIs.
Build and maintain detailed workplans, RAID logs, governance materials, dashboards, decision trackers, and meeting/action follow-through.
Conduct current-state assessments, process mapping, pain-point analysis, root-cause analysis, and targetstate recommendations with measurable improvement actions.
Support program and change management activities, including stakeholder mapping, communication planning, readiness tracking, and adoption support.
Develop business cases, prioritization frameworks, financial analyses, and executive-ready presentations to support decision-making.
Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders across business, operations, technology, finance, risk, and other support functions.
Surface risks, issues, and trade-offs early, and escalate with clear options and recommendations.
Support steering committee and sponsor communications through concise written updates, meeting materials, and status narratives.
Contribute to team standards, templates, and best practices for project and program delivery.
Take on ad hoc analyses and high-priority special projects as business needs evolve.
Qualifications & Experience
3–6 years of experience in management consulting, transformation, program/project management, PMO, business operations, or a similar role in a complex environment.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus.
Demonstrated experience owning projects or workstreams with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Strong quantitative, qualitative, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex issues into clear updates and decisions.
Strong presentation skills and comfort in building executive-ready materials.
High attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to drive tasks through completion.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create executive-ready analysis and materials.
Practical AI/analytics fluency and willingness learn and use modern tools to improve productivity, insight generation, and decision support.
Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a strong bias to action and follow-through
Preferred Qualifications (Good to have)
Experience in financial services, asset management, private markets, or another highly regulated and complex environment.
Experience supporting transformation initiatives involving process redesign, operating model change, systems implementation, or change management.
Understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and how to bridge business and technology teams.
Familiarity with project delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
Exposure to middle- or back-office functions, operations, finance, or control environments.
Experience working with external vendors or consulting partners.
Exposure to dashboarding, data analysis, automation, or workflow tools.
Skills / Tools
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; able to build trackers, analysis, and polished executive materials.
Comfortable using project/program tools for planning, issue tracking, documentation, and governance.
AI literacy with hands-on willingness to experiment with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar to improve productivity and insight generation.
Ability to self-serve simple analyses, dashboards, or lightweight automations using Python, Power BI, SQL,
Excel, or similar tools; expert-level coding is not required.
Good judgment in using AI and analytics tools responsibly, including validating outputs, protecting confidentiality, and applying human review.
