Associate Director, Sales
Position Overview
The Associate Director will drive revenue growth, strengthen strategic customer relationships, and ensure exceptional delivery quality across key accounts. A core focus of this role is to help Chinese Technology & Durable (T&D) clients expand into global markets by leveraging NIQ GfK’s worldwide insights, data assets, and advisory capabilities. The ideal candidate brings deep industry experience, strong consulting or market‑research background, and fluency in English to operate effectively in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Achieve Sales and Revenue Targets
- Develop and execute sales and account plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities across existing and prospective accounts.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and provide visibility to leadership.
2. Own and Elevate Strategic Account Relationships
- Serve as the primary senior-level contact for designated key accounts.
- Build long‑term, trusted partnerships with senior executives and decision makers.
- Understand client strategies and challenges; align NIQ GfK solutions to create meaningful business value.
3. Support Chinese T&D Clients’ Global Expansion
- Act as the strategic partner helping Chinese T&D brands expand into overseas markets.
- Leverage NIQ GfK’s global data, local market expertise, and cross‑country delivery resources to support clients’ international growth.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to package insights, deliverables, benchmarks, and best practices relevant to different markets.
- Provide strategic recommendations on market entry, consumer behavior, competitive landscape, and category dynamics across regions.
- Ensure smooth coordination between China-based clients and NIQ GfK’s international teams.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery Excellence
- Partner closely with delivery, operations, global product, and other cross‑functional teams.
- Ensure high-quality execution and proactively manage client expectations.
- Identify risks early and lead resolution efforts with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain strong communication loops between clients and all internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, key account management, or business development.
- Experience working with technology or durable goods clients, either as a major vendor/partner or from the client side.
- Consulting or market research background with strong analytical capabilities.
- Proven success in helping clients expand internationally is highly desirable.
- Strong executive communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Fluent in English (written & spoken); able to work confidently in multinational settings.
