Role Overview


The individual will work with the Urban/Sustainable Cities Business Development Team based at the Headquarters (New Delhi). This role involves supporting the team in day-to-day business development operations and assisting project and technical teams in research, bid preparation, and submission for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).


Role & responsibilities

  • Identify and track business development opportunities within the allocated sector.
  • Support day-to-day business development activities, including providing inputs for the preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and Technical Proposals.
  • Conduct background research and analysis to strengthen and enhance technical proposals.
  • Assist in assembling teams of consultants required for consultancy assignments and support the formatting and compilation of their CVs and credentials.
  • Develop and maintain networks and partnerships with consultancy firms, institutions, and sector experts.
  • Undertake various business developmentrelated tasks as required by the team.
  • Support technical writing for proposals, concept notes, and related documents.
  • Compile and maintain business development statistics, databases, and internal trackers.
  • Manage and coordinate bid submissions on e-procurement portals, ensuring compliance with submission requirements and timelines.

Qualifications

Masters degree in environment field/ planning/ engineering or relevant.


Experience Requirements

2-5 years experience in Business Development, proposal preparation, response to RFP & EOI, e-procurement in a consulting firm.

Essential Skills

  • Strong research and analytical abilities with excellent writing and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with strong presentation and formatting capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex information.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience or familiarity with proposal preparation, bid coordination, and business development processes.
  • Understanding of e-procurement portals and online bid submission processes is desirable.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with AI tools and digital platforms that support research, proposal development, data analysis, and productivity.
  • Experience in data tracking, BD analytics, or maintaining opportunity pipelines and trackers.
