Job Description:
Assistant Account Executive, Technology Communications
As an AAE, Technology Communications at Zeno, you will be responsible for maintaining a broad scope of day-to-day account work across enterprise technology and emerging innovation. This role is ideal for a media‑savvy communicator with agency experience who’s ready to take ownership of execution, contribute strategically, and grow within a fast‑moving, collaborative team.
About the Role:
- Support day‑to‑day execution of integrated communications programs for technology clients, with a strong emphasis on earned media
- Draft and refine media materials including pitches, press releases, briefing documents, message frameworks, and executive thought leadership content
- Build and maintain targeted media lists across consumer, tech, business, emerging and vertical outlets; confidently engage with reporters and editors
- Track coverage, analyze results, and translate performance into clear client‑ready reporting and insights
- Manage timelines, trackers, and deliverables with precision—flagging risks and ensuring flawless execution
- Stay current on technology trends, product innovation, and the evolving media landscape to inform proactive pitching and storytelling
- Collaborate across account teams, practices, and geographies to support launches, announcements, speaking & awards and wider thought leadership communications programs (earned & paid)
About You:
- 0-3 years of experience in public relations or strategic communications; agency experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting media relations programs, ideally for technology or innovation‑driven brands
- Strong writing skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and outlets
- Confidence managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive mindset
- Curiosity about technology, media, and culture—and a desire to keep learning and growing
Pay Range: $55,000-$60,000 USD/yr.
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
