Job Description:
SUMMARY & PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Aesthetic Business Partner Director serves as Ipsen’s senior commercial lead supporting the Alliance team in the day-to-day management of Ipsen’s strategic partnership with its long-standing external Ax partner for our commercial products (“Strategic Alliance Partner”).
The role provides deep aesthetic market expertise, delivers commercial insight and analytical rigor, and ensures Ipsen’s strategic and financial interests are represented across all governance interactions.
This individual prepares high quality analyses and presentations for senior management, contributes to internal decision-making processes, and acts as Ipsen’s commercial representative in external meetings with the Strategic Alliance Partner and other stakeholders.
The role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to challenge assumptions while maintaining a collaborative, solutions-oriented partnership approach.

Commercial Leadership & Alliance Management
Serve as the primary commercial business partner to the Strategic Alliance team for the Strategic Alliance Partnership.
Represent Ipsen’s commercial function in external governance bodies (e.g., Joint Executive Committee), ensuring Ipsen’s interests are clearly articulated and defended. [TE to Sarah: I have changed your suggestion which read Ipsen’s perspective back to Ipsen’s interest as “perspective” would not be firm enough. Also reinstating “defended” as it is important that Ipsen’s position is firmly defended at JEC, JCC as a voting member and not just sharing of Ipsen’s perspective at joint meetings]
Review and conduct robust assessment of partner local marketing plans and provide commercial guidance based on aesthetic market dynamics across priority geographies to guarantee strategic coherence (US, Europe, Brazil, Australia, China and others).
Act as the internal aesthetic subject matter expert, advising cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
Business Strategy, Financial Stewardship & Analytics
Build, analyze, and challenge business cases as part of Ipsen’s governance processes.
Co-own long-range planning processes with Dysport Brand Team, Alliance and Finance, ensuring commercial assumptions are robust and grounded in market reality.
Lead or co-lead internal business reviews with Dysport Lead Alliance, Finance, integrating commercial performance, financial forecasts, and market signals.
Participate in supply meetings and review partner demand plans fostering constructive dialogue around assumptions, but also able to confidently address gaps to ensure alignment with Ipsen’s financial and operational expectations.
Maintain accountability for commercial elements of the partnership P&L.
Insight Generation & Senior Management Deliverables
Triangulate internal and external data sources, produce insights, and make actionable recommendations to support Alliance leadership decision making.
Develop and deliver robust, decision-enabling presentation materials with clarity and influence for Executive Leadership, governance bodies, and cross-functional forums.
Monitor aesthetic market trends, competitive developments, and performance indicators to identify risks and opportunities relevant to the Strategic Alliance Partnership.
