Job Summary
This job is in the Plant family (Department), which includes positions responsible for supervising or performing metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and/or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials, facilities and methods employed by Phoenix Metals in metals processing and distribution.

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function
· Generally responsible for completing basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.
· Responsible for safely loading/unloading material to/from supplier vehicles using material handling equipment such as a forklift, overhead crane or side loaders.
· Examines material for obvious quality defects and using measuring devices such as a tape measure to ensure conformance to purchase and sales orders.
· Tags material for proper identification and completes all required documentation.
· Safely operates commercial trucks on Company property.
· Maintains work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
· Reports any irregularities to supervisor for direction.
· Responsible for adhering to/ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
Required Skills
· 5-10 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
· High School diploma/GED preferred.
· Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
· Must be able to obtain a certification to operate all required motorized material handling and rigging equipment.
· Clear oral and written communication skills, particularly legible handwriting required.
