APAC Application Technology Marketing & Sales (M&S) team is looking for a Frontend Engineer with AI development experience to be based in Shanghai Office, China. This role will be responsible for H5/WeChat Web application development as well as AI application development. He/she should have the advanced-level of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript to develop highly dynamic web applications and expertise in integrating LLMs and AI agents into workflows/existing applications. He/She will collaborate with architects and product teams to ensure integrated end-to-end design.
As a frontend engineer, you should be comfortable around both front-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
Requirements: -
- Proven experience as Frontend Developer or similar role.
- Experience in integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models like Llama 3) into production applications
- Experience in developing mobile and desktop applications.
- Experience in HTML5, CSS3 & Responsive design.
- 3+ years in multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
- 3+ years in JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue, React、AngularJS).
- 2+ years in Python
- Familiar with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex
- Familiar with RAG architecture, vector databases from a frontend consumption perspective.
- Familiar with WeChat/WeChat Mini Program/Official Accounts ecosystem and hands on experience with WeChat Mini Program UI development is preferred.
- Familiar with UI/UX design.
- Demonstrable algorithm/data structure and problem-solving skills.
- Strong passion for technology especially in AI area and innovation and great attention to details.
- Excellent English & Chinese language communication and teamwork skills
Education Minimum Requirement:
- B.S. degree is required. Engineering, Information Management/Compute Science or related area is preferred.
Desired Experience, Certifications:
- Experience of working in and configuring cloud setup – AWS/Tencent
- Knowledge of server-side web application development.
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in practicing TDD/BDD.
- Experience in low-code AI agent development platforms (Dify, Coze or similar one)
- High standard of quality and focus on customer satisfaction
- Strong problem solve skill, ability to analyze problems and create solutions
- Knowledge of common continuous integration patterns and practices
- Strong learning mindset. Research, learn new methodologies and technologies and implement them in the project to continuously improve and optimize design, code, build, deploy, test lifecycle
Location and Travel:
Preferred base location is Shanghai. Travel is not expected
