About the Role
This role will be responsible for picking, packing, and loading steel tube and pipe while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. Working under direct supervision, you will operate standard warehouse equipment to ensure efficient and accurate material handling. This role is ideal for someone who values safety, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
What You’ll Do
- Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
- Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
- Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages.
- Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.
- Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.
- Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.
- High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and maintain quality standards.
Work Environment
- Regular, full-time onsite attendance is required.
