Business Development Manager
1. Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to deepen penetration in the Australian retail market, focusing on acquiring new enterprise and mid-market clients across diverse retail formats (e.g., supermarkets, convenience stores, specialty retail stores, department stores, online-offline integrated retailers) for Elo's product portfolio. Establish and maintain a stable pipeline of business opportunities for Elo's products through proactive outreach, industry network building, and close collaboration with Elo's existing sales team and internal teams. Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the Australian retail ecosystem, including retail decision-makers, ISVs, system integrators, hardware suppliers, and industry associations. Provide actionable insights to Elo's management team to support the optimization of product strategies and market positioning in Australia. Collaborate closely with Elo's existing sales team, pre-sales team, and product team to ensure the smooth end-to-end delivery of Elo's solutions, from opportunity identification and deal closure to post-sales support, jointly winning clients and driving business growth. Prepare and submit regular business development reports, market analyses, and growth forecasts for Elo's Australian retail business to the management team and deliver presentations on the same. Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of business development experience in the Australian retail industry, with proven track records in client acquisition, revenue growth driving, and strategic partnership establishment. In-depth understanding of the Australian retail ecosystem: familiarity with core retail enterprises, various retail formats (supermarkets, convenience stores, specialty retail, etc.), as well as local market characteristics and consumer behaviors. Solid professional knowledge of retail technology solutions, including POS systems, self-checkout terminals, payment processing technologies (Electronic Funds Transfer, mobile payments, etc.), retail management software, and related hardware/software ecosystems. Extensive network resources in the Australian retail industry, including retail business owners/decision-makers, ISVs, system integrators, and retail technology suppliers. Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, develop market entry strategies, and drive business growth in a competitive market. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and extract actionable business insights. Self-motivated and goal-oriented; capable of working independently and collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams. Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) - mandatory. Familiarity with local Australian business culture is preferred. Willingness to travel within Australia as required by work.
