2026 Graduate Trainee Programme

Reports To: Vice President, Media Delivery and Operations

Function: Media Management & Delivery

Location: Hong Kong

 

Role Summary and Impact

This comprehensive 18-month rotational program is designed to build the next generation of industry leaders. As a Graduate Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience through concentrated rotations across key business functions. This program will provide a deep understanding of the biddable media ecosystem (including Ad-Operations, Programmatic, Search, Social, and SEO), Data & Technology, and Research. In addition to media expertise, you will gain valuable leadership exposure by helping to shape our company culture and leading company-wide events as a member of our Young Committee (Y-Co), preparing you for a fast-tracked career as a subject matter expert within WPP Media.

Core Responsibilities:

Rotational Development: Actively participate in rotations across Biddable Media (Ad-Operations, Programmatic, Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO) and Data & Tech (Research) to build specialist expertise.

Campaign Management & Execution: Drive the end-to-end management of advertising campaigns, including setup, execution on major biddable platforms, and performance analysis.

Performance Optimization: Analyze campaign data to identify trends and insights, providing actionable recommendations to improve campaign performance and achieve client objectives.

Data Storytelling & Application: Structure and visualize campaign data to build compelling client reports and performance dashboards, contributing to the development of data-driven media strategies.

Uncover Strategic Insights: Provide foundational research on competitor intelligence, market trends, and consumer behavior that directly informs client media strategy.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless campaign execution and foster strong professional relationships.

Leadership & Cultural Contribution: Gain leadership development experience by participating in the company's Young Committee (Y-Co), contributing to the planning and execution of key company-wide events and initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Final year university student or recent graduate. Early career professionals with 1-2 years of relevant experience are also welcome.
  • A strong passion for the media, data, and technology landscape.
  • An appreciation for data and numbers, with the ability to translate findings into campaign insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Cantonese is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior internship or work experience in a relevant field.
