Working student – Backend Developer (m/w/d)

**Whom you'll work with** We are an international team of tech enthusiasts ready to bring AI solutions to the manufacturing industry. We detect errors in manual assembly processes and give feedback in real-time to the operator to correct them. The system uses a combination of deep neural networks to extract relevant information like hand movements, tools, and components from the video data (https://www.anticipate.ml/). We are looking for our location in Aachen for a candidate with the following qualifications: **Qualifications** Master’s degree student in computer science or software-related with a strong interest in backend development. * Studies, apprenticeship, or in-depth professional experience in the field of IT / software development or in the implementation of software projects with a special focus on backend technologies * You are a passionate developer and have already gained experience in backend development with Javascript (NodeJS), Docker and REST among others * You are skilled in modern Python, Django and the Django REST Framework and a strong focus on code quality and understanding what makes software maintainable * Debian, nginx, PostgreSQL are no novelties for you and version control systems like GitHub, GitHub CI/CD and unit testing are self-evident for you * Experience with RabbitMQ, Celery and cloud-platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, or Google-Cloud) is welcome, but not a must * Nice to have: Experience with container orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc. **What you’ll do** You will work with us on our software stack for industrial environments and improve the user experience of our product. * You take over the technical responsibility for individual subareas of large projects as part of a team * Work in a multidisciplinary team with other professionals such as backend developers and web designers * You like to think and work agile with Scrum or Kanban * Writing tests is a matter of course for you for good software products * Take part in the research and proofs-of-concept of new technologies.
