Job Description: 

As a Web Runtime Optimization Engineer in Intel Web Platform Engineering COE, you will play a pivotal role in Chromium SW enabling and optimization towards Intel Architecture and ensure an optimal user experience of Chromium base browsers on Intel AI PCs, including both power and performance. To achieve this goal, you need to work closely with the world-wide Intel hardware IP / driver teams and Chromium open-source community, to enable and optimize the key Chromium components of Blink, V8, Media, Rendering, Web AI (Web Assembly, WebGPU, WebNN, Built-in AI, etc.) on top of Intel CPU, GPU and NPU.

Qualifications:

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience. • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or JavaScript, Python; AI-assisted programming skill is also required. • Knowledge of system software optimization, experience with Chromium project is a plus. • Proficiency in client AI stack (ONNX Runtime, LiteRT, llama.cpp, etc.) development and optimization is a plus. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional, global teams. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
