Role
As the Web Engineer at Peregrine, you’ll own every aspect of peregrine.io, from development and performance to SEO and analytics. As a key member of the marketing team, you’ll collaborate closely across the marketing, comms, and design teams to shape and elevate Peregrine’s web presence. You’ll craft engaging, interactive experiences and build scalable, high-performance full-stack solutions. The ideal candidate is collaborative, thinks systematically, communicates technical decisions effortlessly, and iterates quickly to drive business impact—all while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship and empowering designers to do their best work.

- You write clean, scalable, and maintainable code and use tools that expand creativity and efficiency.
- You are a key driver of growth, with an understanding of designing web personalization and analytics systems to drive engagement, demand & conversions, audience insights, and scaled content delivery
- Ensure instantaneous load times, implement AEO/GEO best practices, and maintain high performance across browsers and devices
- Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs, ensuring a seamless, delightful experience
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities to enhance website capabilities while sharing insights with the broader team
What We Look For
- 5+ years of experience in web development, specializing in building dynamic and responsive websites
- Proficiency with front-end technologies such as Framer, Rive, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, as well as marketing automation tools like HubSpot
- Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first development practices
- Experience implementing and maintaining marketing technologies as relevant, including familiarity with tracking technologies (e.g. Hubspot, Google Tag Manager), and owning high-throughput design/review/publish workflows within a CMS (e.g. Sanity) and in collaboration with in-house design teams (e.g. Figma).
- Experience with collaborative workflows and version control systems such as Git
- Demonstrated success in testing, debugging, and optimizing website performance, including establishing ticketing and QA process
- Detail-oriented mindset with a solid grasp of discoverability best practices and accessibility standards
- Readiness to work cross-functionally with marketing, design, and product teams to optimize our website
- Located in San Francisco and open to working in office 4x per week
Salary Range: $150,000 - $192,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
