Job Description

The Suttontown Plant is currently seeking highly a skilled individual for the role of Production Operator based in the Warehouse. The position is permanent part-time position.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that our products are stored and handled in a safe manner whilst meeting the highest standards of quality, contribute to the efficiency of our manufacturing process as well as meeting customer supply demands.

As part of the team, your key responsibilities include

  • Following safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Handling products according Food Safety and Quality standards
  • Use of SAP and other online computer systems
  • Active use of lean manufacturing tools including 5Y, Kaizen and One Point Lessons to reduce losses across the plant
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including completion of periodic cleaning and operational tasks
  • Collaborating with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Reporting any issues to the Shift Leader or Manager

Specific responsibilities for Warehouse Operator

Forklift activities for Inbound, Outbound and Courier deliveries:

  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Picking and Staging loads
  • Unloading backloads and putting materials into racks

Internal finished goods and material movements:

  • Transporting Finished Goods to Coolstores
  • Servicing filling / packing lines with material replenishment
  • Using RF Scanners
  • Wrapping finished goods pallets
  • Various other Warehouse activities
  • Forklift license is essential and previous Warehousing experience is an advantage.

Base rate of $40.04/hr following initial training.

Time and structured across rotating shifts – Day / Afternoon / Night.

Permanent part-time position.

Forklift License a must.
