Job Purpose:
Lead and manage end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of inbound, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory control processes, while meeting customer service levels and business financial objectives. Drive operational stability, effective decision-making, talent management, and continuous improvement initiatives, leading the innovation and digitalization agenda to achieve operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Ensure effective execution of warehouse processes including receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory management.
- Guarantee operational stability and service continuity through risk anticipation and contingency planning.
- Achieve and sustain agreed service levels (operational KPIs) and contractual commitments.
- Implement operational control practices to reduce errors, losses, and rework.
Customer Relationship and Negotiation
- Act as the primary point of contact with the customer for operational, financial, and performance-related topics.
- Lead negotiations regarding operational changes, scope adjustments, and improvement plans that impact financial results.
- Translate customer requirements into feasible and sustainable operational solutions.
Financial Management
- Manage the operation’s P&L, ensuring budget adherence, cost control, and profitability.
- Identify financial optimization opportunities through productivity improvements, efficiency gains, and resource optimization.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial impact analysis.
People Leadership
- Lead large operational teams, with responsibility for approximately 200 indirect personnel, through first- and second-line leaders.
- Build and sustain a high-performance, accountability-driven culture.
- Develop talent, succession plans, and leadership capabilities across the operation.
- Drive effective communication, engagement, and operational discipline.
Continuous Improvement, Innovation, and Digitalization
- Lead the continuous improvement and innovation agenda for the operation.
- Drive digitalization, automation, and technology-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency, visibility, and operational control.
- Identify improvement opportunities across processes, layouts, workflows, and operational KPIs.
Health, Safety, and Asset Protection
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and asset protection requirements.
- Guarantee safe operations for employees, facilities, and inventory.
- Promote a strong safety culture and risk prevention mindset at all organizational levels.
Who we are looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Proven experience in operations management or leadership roles.
- Strong background in managing receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory processes.
- Demonstrated experience in customer negotiation and financial management.
- Experience in 3PL or multinational environments is highly desirable.
- Warehouse and logistics operations management.
