Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and manage the Corporate Processing Team, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure loan processing quality, accuracy, and turnaround times meet defined service level agreements and organizational standards
  • Monitor team pipelines and workflows to ensure compliance with mortgage regulations including RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and Reg B
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for processing-related issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution within SLA requirements
  • Conduct loan file reviews and performance sampling to identify training needs and operational improvements
  • Support onboarding branches by ensuring smooth transition processes and providing ongoing operational guidance
  • Collaborate with closing, secondary, and servicing teams to resolve outstanding documentation and loan suspense items
  • Identify structural and process improvement opportunities within the department and implement operational enhancements
  • Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business or finance preferred
    • Minimum of 5+ years of residential mortgage processing experience
    • Prior leadership or team management experience in mortgage or financial services operations
    • Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations including RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and related lending compliance frameworks
    • Experience working with loan origination systems such as Encompass preferred
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead and mentor teams
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Windows, DU, and LP systems
