Organizational Overview:
The product management organization defines and drives Synchrony’s product portfolio, including products, features, capabilities and distribution channels, across its lifecycle, from discovery through launch and iteration. Led by a head of product or CPO, it includes product managers and related roles who set vision, strategy, and roadmaps, then partner with PMO, design, engineering, and commercial teams, to build and commercialize across the portfolio. The organization aligns customer needs and business goals, prioritizes opportunities, and ensures coordinated, cross‑functional execution across all of Synchrony.
Role Summary/Purpose

Leading key growth engines for our partners and Synchrony, the VP, Continuum Product Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Upgrade, Graduation and Balance Transfer initiatives for some of our largest portfolios. This role will work with cross functional teams (Operations, Legal, Credit, IT, Fraud, Marketing, etc.) to complete the build, test and launch of income generating campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Upgrade, Product Graduation, Balance Transfer and other campaigns across multiple platforms and clients.
Manage the effective testing of Products or enhancements to the Product process across multiple Synchrony portfolios and platforms.
Coordinate the development and implementation of complex test plans to improve accuracy of go to market Products or enhancements.
Monitor and report on key metrics for the products to assess the success of the product and features and determine necessary enhancements.
Provide consultative input to internal process owners on best practices for Product functionality related initiatives.
Proactively engagement with Compliance and Legal to ensure compliance of corporate operating instructions & all applicable state & federal regulations.
Participate in quality improvement programs, regularly focused on improving the effectiveness of our processes, experiences and campaign performance.
Drive Customer centricity & change initiatives.
Perform special assignments & other duties as required.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience OR, in lieu of degree, 10+years of relevant work experience in project management
A minimum of 5 years of project management experience leading large cross-functional project teams including experience developing & implementing new procedures/programs
A minimum of 3 years banking or credit card work experience
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
Functional experience with Fiserv platform
Knowledge of Synchrony Financial and Fiserv systems
Knowledge of credit card marketing processes
Experience working with MasterCard/Visa
Experience working cross functionally within project teams using a consultative / collaborative approach with a high level of customer service.
Superior interpersonal skills at all organizational layers, including the ability to communicate effectively and motivate others outside of your direct authority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong performance & results orientation
Proven organizational/time management skills
Experience in maintaining satisfactory customer/client relationships
Knowledge of applicable Bankcard laws, regulations and operating instructions
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, with a track record of success with significant implementations
Experience with enterprise testing of large initiatives with multiple stakeholders
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience OR, in lieu of degree, 10+years of relevant work experience in project management
Work Timings:
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
