Title and Summary
Vice President, Talent ManagementOverviewThis role will be part of the Global Talent and Organizational Effectiveness team which is collectively responsible for developing and executing an integrated talent, leadership, culture, engagement, and organizational strategy in support of our business goals. This team will ensure right talent, skills, and supporting capabilities are in place to enable evolving Mastercard’s continued success.
Role
In addition to managing the company’s Performance Management & Development practice and Talent & Succession Planning practice, the Vice President, Talent Management will work in partnership with the business and the broader People & Capability team to:
• Provide thought leadership around the design, launch and delivery of such talent management solutions, such as:
o Talent Assessment
o Talent Pool Management
o Talent Brokering
o Career Management/Progression/ Promotion.
o Other talent solutions to assure we have the talent we need for the future and in support of our strategy.
• Assist colleagues in managing the outcomes of talent management practices, including practical succession management, helping to drive career moves and talent discussions, and assuring for development and progression as identified by the plans in place.
• Help diagnose current and future capability needs to help inform talent priorities
• Consult and partner with Talent Consultants and People Business Partners to inform, shape, and deliver talent solutions that ensures future talent needs are being met
• Inform and shape the overall design and development of talent strategies for building deep and strong pipelines of current and future leaders in the businesses at Mastercard.
All About You
You bring the following experience and background
• Advanced degree in I/O Psychology, or Human Resources preferred, with 10+ years of talent management.
• Broad-based HR background – ideally having spent time in a HRBP role and/or Talent Management Partner role
• Proven track record of re-imagining talent practices that have delivered tangible results
• Proven track-record around bringing ideas from creation to execution
• Ability to get things done through other people and have strong influencing, networking and collaboration skills
