We need a VP of IT Operations to own the full scope of technology operations help desk, facilities technology, enterprise infrastructure, and IT cost management while partnering closely with our cybersecurity team on security strategy and compliance. This role reports to the CIO and is a key member of the technology leadership team.

What is a day in the life of a VP of IT Operations?

  • Own the end-to-end IT operations strategy, encompassing service desk, systems engineering, network administration, and global facilities technology teams.

  • Drive aggressive IT cost management and budget optimization through expert vendor negotiations and contract lifecycle management.

  • Direct high-impact facilities technology initiatives, including physical security systems, AV/collaboration infrastructure, and corporate office build-outs.

  • Partner closely with cybersecurity leadership to enforce identity management, compliance, and incident response planning across the enterprise.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership in HR, Finance, and Operations to align all technology initiatives with core business objectives.
  • Oversee the global IT procurement and asset lifecycle management programs to ensure hardware efficiency at scale.

What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, featuring a "Data Fanatic" approach to managing IT budgets and identifying financial waste.

  • A proven track record of managing multi-tiered, global IT teams including service desk and network engineering functions.

  • Exceptional expertise in vendor management and contract optimization for core SaaS platforms, ITSM tools, and network infrastructure.

  • Direct experience overseeing facilities technology, such as access control and physical security systems, during rapid company scaling.

  • A "Team of Doers" mentality with a history of building clear career paths and retaining top-tier engineering talent.
  • Strong background in enterprise platform administration and the ability to partner effectively on cybersecurity compliance.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?

 
  • 30 Days: Complete a full audit of the current IT budget, vendor contracts, and service desk performance metrics while building relationships with key stakeholders.

  • 60 Days: Identify and present a plan for immediate "quick win" cost savings and infrastructure optimizations; establish baseline SLAs for the global help desk.
  • 90 Days: Execute the first phase of global infrastructure or facilities technology upgrades and launch a formal career development framework for the IT team.

This role reports directly to the CTO. You will be joining a growing team of professionals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Cybersecurity leadership as well as other departments including Operations, HR, Finance, and executive leadership.
