Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $61.00 - $61.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

Ultrasound Technologist

 New York, NY | Per diem – Weekend Coverage

Position Summary

Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This role focuses on musculoskeletal and general ultrasound, supporting accurate diagnosis and exceptional clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams (MSK, vascular, general)
  • Ensure high-quality image acquisition for physician interpretation
  • Provide excellent patient care and ensure safety throughout procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and care teams
  • Maintain equipment and adhere to quality and compliance standards

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • RDMS certification required (RVT/MSK preferred)
  • BLS certification required
  • 1+ year of experience preferred (strong new grads considered)
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound experience a plus
