We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ultra Pure Water Project Manager / Superintendent to be part of our team in West Lafayette, IN, beginning onsite at the project on or before May 1st 2026.
The Ultra Pure Water Project Manager / Superintendent is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all aspects of process gas system installation on semiconductor construction projects. This role ensures the safe, compliant, and on-schedule delivery of high-purity and specialty gas systems critical to semiconductor manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, technically skilled, highly organized, communicate clearly and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Candidates’ work history must represent increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis throughout their career.

Key Responsibilities – UPW Project Manager
- Lead and manage all phases of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) system projects, from design coordination through construction, commissioning, and turnover.
- Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and forecasting for UPW systems, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones and facility readiness requirements.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, design consultants, and contractors to ensure UPW systems meet process requirements, specifications, and cleanliness standards.
- Manage installation of UPW systems, including generation, storage, distribution, and return systems, ensuring compliance with project and industry standards.
- Drive resolution of technical issues, RFIs, and field conflicts, ensuring minimal impact to schedule and system performance.
- Lead submittal reviews, procurement coordination, and vendor management for UPW equipment and materials.
- Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC requirements, including inspection plans, material traceability, and cleanliness protocols for high-purity systems.
- Support and oversee commissioning, flushing, testing, and validation of UPW systems to meet operational and process requirements.
- Coordinate system turnover, including documentation, as-builts, test records, and punch list closure, ensuring readiness for tool install and operations.
- Interface with client stakeholders, operations teams, and facility engineers to ensure successful integration with manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and manage schedule risks and recovery plans related to UPW system delivery and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements, including SEMI, NFPA, and project-specific guidelines.
Qualifications – UPW Project Manager
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project management within semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or high-tech industrial facilities.
- Proven experience managing Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems, including generation, storage, distribution, and return systems.
- Strong understanding of high-purity piping systems, materials (e.g., PVDF, PFA, stainless steel), and cleanroom construction requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including SEMI, NFPA, CGA, and other relevant industry guidelines.
- Experience with system commissioning, flushing, testing, and validation of UPW and process water systems.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel) and document control platforms (e.g., ACC, BIM 360).
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, including inspection plans, material traceability, and cleanliness requirements for high-purity systems.
- Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk across complex, fast-paced projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, vendors, and client stakeholders.
- Experience resolving field issues, RFIs, and design coordination challenges in real-time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience on semiconductor fabrication (fab) projects.
- Familiarity with tool install integration and cleanroom startup requirements.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification.
- Experience with BIM coordination and modular construction methods.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture or engineering, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience in the field will be considered in lieu of formal education.
