Assistant/Associate/Professor-Pediatric Hospitalist

Position Summary This Pediatric Hospitalist will primarily provide inpatient services at the Children's Hospital of Illinois on the general and intermediate pediatric units. Other clinical work may also include the newborn nursery and pediatric sedation service. They will be responsible for teaching medical students and residents. Scholarly work activity (research, quality improvement, and advocacy) is expected but tailored to the faculty member's interests Duties Responsibilities Provide academic inpatient hospitalist services for patients at UICOMP’s main clinical partner, OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois, a 132-bed, full-service hospital. Participate in undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs of the Department. Organize and conduct research or scholarly programs in pediatric hospital medicine. Perform other duties of a University faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development, student counseling, and administration. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
