The Training Specialist II plays a meaningful role in advancing how UCF supports, grows, and leads its workforce. This position supports the implementation and sustainment of enterprise talent initiatives by delivering impactful training, coordinating program operations, and supporting the adoption of performance management and leadership development practices across the university.
Talent Development is seeking a Visiting Training Specialist II to help ensure Talent Development programs are delivered consistently and thoughtfully across UCF — transforming strategic priorities into meaningful learning experiences that strengthen leadership capability, support employee growth, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Training Program Development and Delivery
Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and resources that support performance management practices and leadership development initiatives.
Facilitate sessions using a variety of instructional methods, including virtual and in person formats.
Maintain and update training materials, guides, and job aids to ensure relevance and consistency.
Performance Management Implementation Support
Support the roll-out and sustainment of performance management practices across the university.
Assist in coordinating training related to goal setting, feedback, coaching, and performance readiness.
Provide support to ensure consistent application of practices across units.
Leadership Development Program Support
Coordinate and support leadership development programs, including UCF Leadership Pathways
Assist with cohort scheduling, participant communications, and program logistics to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
Program Coordination and Workday Learning Administration
Manage training logistics, including scheduling, communications, and learner tracking.
Support Workday Learning assignments, enrollments, and reporting.
Ensure alignment and consistency in program delivery across Talent Development offerings.
Needs Assessment and Continuous Improvement
Gather feedback and evaluate training effectiveness.
Identify opportunities to improve program delivery, scalability, and alignment with university priorities.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting enterprise‑wide or multi‑unit training initiatives requiring consistent delivery and coordination at scale.
Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Experience supporting HR‑led initiatives related to performance management, leadership development, or organizational effectiveness.
Experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs and workshops, with a strong understanding of various instructional techniques suitable for both virtual and in-person settings.
Experience coordinating training or development programs, including scheduling, communications, and managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
Experience administering or supporting a learning management system (e.g., Workday Learning or comparable LMS), including enrollments, tracking, and reporting.
Experience gathering feedback and evaluating training effectiveness to inform continuous improvement of enterprise programs.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:
Visiting positions are based on circumstances, such as funding sources, which control the length of time for which the position is available; renewable up to a period of four years.
This is an Auxiliary (AUX) funded visiting appointment with the potential for a regular appointment following the conclusion of the term, contingent upon the availability of funding, business need, and demonstrated successful performance.
The anticipated annual salary for this position is $56,030 - $62,334. The final annual salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
