Trust Manager

We have been exclusively assigned to appoint a Trust Manager on behalf of a leading fiduciary services provider. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of complex trust structures, including employee ownership trusts, while delivering high standards of administration, compliance, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Management

  • Ensure accurate time recording and timely billing.
  • Monitor debtor balances and liaise with finance to support prompt collection.
  • Meet defined Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client value through additional services or restructuring.
  • Support business development by nurturing client relationships and assisting with onboarding.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align pricing models and service agreements with market expectations.

Trust Administration

  • Administer a diverse portfolio of trusts with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, intermediaries, and advisors.
  • Review and approve trust transactions, documentation, and communications.
  • Maintain trust records including resolutions, minutes, and statutory filings.
  • Coordinate distributions, asset transfers, and other trust-related activities.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting via trust management systems.

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with UK and international regulations including FATCA, CRS, AML, and GDPR.
  • Monitor trust activities for risk and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and update internal procedures accordingly.
  • Participate in audits and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
  • Uphold internal policies and AML obligations.

General Duties

  • Attend client meetings and travel as required.
  • Represent the business professionally in all stakeholder interactions.
  • Contribute to internal projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Participate in industry events and professional development activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards of integrity.
  • Act as one of the nominated “Four Eyes” and a B Signatory where required.

Candidate Profile

  • STEP, ICSA, or equivalent professional qualification (or currently working towards).
  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience in trust or fiduciary services.
  • Strong knowledge of trust and company law, AML/CFT regulations, and governance standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is advantageous.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
