Travelier (Bookaway Group) | R&D Finance Developer
On behalf of Travelier (formerly Bookaway Group), SD Solutions is looking for a talented developer to join our R&D Finance team, where the stakes are real and the work genuinely matters. You'll be building and owning the financial systems that power our business - from core payment infrastructure to complex accounting system design - working at the intersection of engineering excellence and mission-critical systems that must work in scale.

You'll take full ownership of meaningful, complex challenges - from integrating with global payment providers and PSPs to designing the internal logic that moves money reliably and traceably.
You'll shape financial processors, build reconciliation flows, and develop the dashboards that give our finance teams real clarity and control. Your decisions will directly influence how the business operates and scales.
Beyond the code, you'll be a key voice on the team - contributing ideas, challenging assumptions, and helping shape what gets built and why.
Responsibilities:
- Designing new solutions for different business requirements
- Supporting and improving existing financial platforms and services
- Ensuring correctness, consistency, and traceability of financial operations
- Working with transactional flows, reconciliation logic, and financial data integrity
- Designing solutions with a strong focus on auditability, idempotency, and failure recovery
- Integrating external payment systems, PSPs, and financial service providers
- Developing internal finance dashboards and interface solutions
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English
- Proficiency in PHP (Symfony)
- Strong SQL skills
- Good understanding of database transactions
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, best practices and design patterns
- Experience in building high-scale backend systems, web services, APIs - and maintaining them in a high-load, high availability production environment
- Experience working on finance-related products or services
- Motivation to refactor legacy code
- Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude with a can-do approach are essential
