Transport Refrigeration (Reefer) Technician
We are seeking a skilled Reefer Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. While your primary focus will be keeping our refrigeration units and heating units running, you will also be a key part of our trailer maintenance team.
Shift will be on our weekday night shift, Monday to Thursday, 2100-0730.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair components on refrigeration and heating units, including compressors, motors, controls, and evaporators.
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, test for leaks, and calibrate systems to ensure optimal performance.
System Charging: Safely handle, recover, and recharge systems with refrigerants (e.g., R-22, R-410A).
Electrical Work: Read and interpret electrical diagrams and wiring schematics to diagnose control systems.
Fabrication: Use welding and brazing equipment to connect or repair piping and refrigerant lines.
Reefer Expertise: Solid experience troubleshooting refrigeration and heating units.
Trailer Skills: Proven experience in general trailer repair and maintenance.
Licensing (Preferred): Licensed Trailer Technicians are highly preferred and will be compensated accordingly.
Adaptability: A "team-first" attitude and the willingness to switch between specialized reefer work and general mechanical tasks.
