Senior QA Engineer | Cape Town

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to establish and lead quality assurance across a large and growing web platform. This is a critical role responsible for introducing structure, consistency, and confidence into the release process.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

  • Define and implement QA processes and standards

  • Perform manual testing across multiple websites and applications

  • Own regression testing for releases, migrations, and new features

  • Act as the quality gate before production releases

Automation & Improvement:

  • Define and begin implementing a test automation strategy

  • Select tools and identify areas suitable for automation

  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps to improve quality practices

  • Mentor junior QA engineers as the team grows

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of QA experience, primarily web-focused

  • Strong background in manual testing

  • Experience setting up QA processes from scratch

  • Familiarity with modern web stacks and CMS platforms

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

 

Nice to have:

  • Automation experience (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.)

  • Experience with accessibility or performance testing

  • Previous lead or senior QA role
