The Training Coordinator, Community Corrections is responsible for the proper implementation and compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) training standards, company policies and procedures, and regulatory contracts and standards. 

  • Develop and maintain employee training files, documenting all individual employee pre-service and in-service training in accordance with company policy and procedures and ACA standards.
  • Plan, develop, direct, coordinate, schedule, conduct, and facilitate staff training to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, licensing, certifying, and accrediting agencies.
  • Develop training lesson plans for each subject approved for staff training and update as necessary.
  • Maintain tracking files for employee training hours.

Qualifications: 

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field required.
  • Two years related work experience preferred.Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to use good independent judgment when making decisions required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office or other similar software applications is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum Age Requirement:  Must be at least 18 years of age.
