Tesla develops high-performance electric vehicles, battery energy storage systems, solar systems, and charging infrastructure. As a Technical Trainer on the APAC Energy & Charging Service team, you'll empower Service Technicians and Certified Service Providers (CSPs) to maintain, install, and troubleshoot these products for reliable customer performance.

You'll develop training materials, deliver hands-on and online sessions, and focus on equipping teams with skills for Tesla Energy products like Megapack, Powerpack, and Superchargers. The ideal candidate has experience with industrial energy products, strong instructional design skills, and a passion for technical adult education. 
  • Design engaging content, including e-learning modules, videos, simulations, and resources for Megapack, Powerpack, and Supercharger technologies. 

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and service teams to incorporate updates, safety protocols, real-world scenarios, troubleshooting guides, and high-voltage standards. 

  • Lead in-person sessions at Tesla's Melbourne Training Facility, providing practical instruction on installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. 

  • Demonstrate safe high-voltage handling, battery management, power electronics, and charging infrastructure. 

  • Facilitate workshops, simulations, and certification assessments. 

  • Conduct virtual sessions for Service Technicians, customers, and CSPs. 

  • Develop and moderate interactive courses, webinars, and Q&A sessions. 

  • Track progress, provide feedback, and certify completions. 

  • Assess training effectiveness. 

  • Update curricula based on product features, regulatory changes, and field feedback. 

  • Integrate new technologies like VR simulations. 

  • Stay current on electrical regulations and safety in APAC regions (e.g., New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea). 

  • Align training with business goals through cross-functional teamwork. 

  • Assist Field/Area Leads/Managers and CSP leads in evaluating technician skills. 

  • Partner with EHS to meet safety, health, and environmental requirements.

  • Electrician certification or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. 

  • Hands-on experience with energy storage systems. 

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulations in Australia. 

  • Excellent communication skills. 

  • Curiosity and passion for sharing knowledge. 

  • Experience servicing Tesla industrial or commercial products. 

  • Ability to travel occasionally to field sites (up to 10-15%).
