Trading Analyst

Summary of the role:

Responsible assisting trading desk in inputting purchase and sale contracts on CTRM accurately with countersignatures; inputting & allocating derivatives (futures, forex) correctly to contracts & ensuring daily reconciliation vs brokers’ statement. Accountable for advising traders their long/short position, proposing allocation & purchase/sale projection within trading limits. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Enter purchase and sale contracts accurately on CTRM according to requests from traders;  

  • Ensure contracts are duly signed and countersigned by counterparties in due time and have them uploaded on system; 

  • Become expert in costing, contract terms, trading limits to be able to support traders to manage trading position; 

  • Support traders with their long/short position, propose allocation, sampling & coordinate with other teams to facilitate the execution; 

  • Assist reconciliation process with corporate finance team on trading P&L,  compliance team on onboarding process, risk team on trading limits and escalate to trading; 

  • Compare counterparties’ contracts/confirmations with SUCAFINA records.

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a focus on Commodity Trading, Logistics or Risk as a plus. 

  • Other certifications are a plus. 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum 2 years working experience. 

  • Experience in an international environment with global collaboration is a plus. 

  • Experience in coffee trade logistics is a plus. 

Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook.  

  • Knowledge of Incoterms, International payment terms and basic logistics knowledge. 

  • Knowledge of ESCC is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of collaborative tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.) & Business Intelligence, Power BI as a plus.
