About the Job
Our team members are at the heart of everything we do. At World Courier (a Cencora company), we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures, and every person here is essential to us being able to deliver on that purpose. If you want to make a difference at the center of health, come join our innovative company and help us improve the lives of people and animals everywhere. Apply today!
This role will sit within the Global Data and Technology Solutions (GDATs) organization in World Courier and is a key member of the TMS product team. We’re re-imagining IT — not as a support function, but as a strategic partner to the World Courier business.
We exist to help the organisation rise, adapt, and grow, using technology that is innovative, integrated, reliable, secure and designed around real operational needs.
The TMS Configuration Engineer is key to ensuring that our most widely used application keeps our business running!
Why this role matters
As a TMS Configuration Engineer, you ensure our Transportation Management System — the digital heartbeat of our operations — is ready for the complexities of global specialty logistics for the pharmaceutical industry. By optimizing our TMS platform, you directly impact our ability to uphold the highest standards of service and pharmaceutical integrity. You aren’t just configuring software; you’re building the pathways that allow medicine to save lives.
What you’ll do
Lead Infios configuration delivery
Design, build, and optimize Infios TMS configurations including workflows, rules, master data structures, and rate logic to support global specialty logistics.
Perform unit testing and peer reviews of configuration changes (e.g., rules, workflows, rates, master data impacts), ensuring expected behavior across core logistics scenarios while maintaining consistency with standards, performance considerations, and maintainability.
Facilitate meetings and give product demonstrations.
Promote safe, repeatable deployments
Plan and execute configuration migrations between environments (e.g., dev/test/staging/prod) using established tools and processes, validating completeness, dependencies, and version alignment.
Integration confidence
Partner with integration teams and vendors to support TMS connectivity and data flows (EDI/API/file-based), ensuring configurations align with mapping, events, statuses, and orchestration across systems.
Translate needs into configuration-first solutions
Work closely with other teams to turn business requirements into scalable Infios design patterns (configuration over customization where possible).
Contribute to configuration standards, reusable patterns, documentation, and governance that increase delivery speed without sacrificing quality.
What we’re looking for
You’ll thrive in our team if you:
Are patient-centric and understand that a small system issue can have real-world consequences for treatment timing.
Love solving complex puzzles with deep, detailed work in a fast-moving environment and can navigate ambiguity with structure, calm, and follow-through.
Enjoy being the “translator” between technical and non-technical partners — friendly, approachable, and clear—while being comfortable influencing without authority.
Bring a “quality-first” mindset and take pride in unit testing, review discipline, and clean migrations.
Strong sense of ownership and urgency with exceptional time management skills
Experience that will help you succeed:
Deep Infios expertise
Proven, hands-on experience configuring Infios TMS, CARMA, and related products including integrations and data flows
Strong understanding of transportation execution concepts (shipment lifecycle events, exceptions, milestones, service levels, carrier/service configuration, rates).
Proven ability to migrate configurations across environments reliably (including dependency management, version control/release packaging, and validation).
Excellent communication skills — able to translate between “user” and “developer” with clarity and empathy.
Helpful to have
Experience in specialty logistics, cold-chain, clinical trials, or other time-critical, high-service networks.
Familiarity with change control practices and documentation expectations in regulated or highly governed environments.
Comfort with data validation and analysis (e.g., structured files such as CSV/XML/JSON/EDI).
What success looks like in this role
TMS configuration releases are stable, predictable, and support global operational complexity without constant rework.
Operational teams feel fewer manual workarounds, have clearer workflows, and experience faster exception resolution
Measurable gains in application reliability, on-time outcomes, and end-to-end shipment visibility and data quality.
Why join World Courier GDATS?
You’ll have the opportunity to:
Play a key role in a re-imagined IT function
Work with smart, committed people who care about doing the right thing
Shape a modern, people-centered, visible, high-impact support function

How you’ll be working
This role operates within a global, matrixed IT organisation, working closely with Design, Product, Engineering, Delivery, QA and business stakeholders.
Collaboration across time zones and regions is required
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements apply in line with World Courier policies
Some nights and weekends will be required for deployments.
Travel up to 15%.
