  • Serve as the senior technical authority on passive safety regulations, protocols, and test equipment (including calibrations, data acquisition, and fixture validation), providing guidance to the team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex issues
  • Manage lab resources, budgets, and workflows to drive efficiency, quality improvements, and innovation in test methodologies, including the design and validation of custom test fixtures and procedures
  • Coordinate with program managers, suppliers, factory teams, and internal engineering groups to prioritize test samples, integrate passive safety requirements into vehicle design, and validate system performance in BEV platforms
  • Foster a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting best practices across all lab activities
  • Drive strategic initiatives for lab expansion, equipment upgrades, and process optimization, while reporting on team performance, test outcomes, and key metrics to leadership
  • Leadership experience in automotive passive safety testing, ideally managing teams at an OEM or third-party test lab, with a proven track record in Euro NCAP, ECE regulatory compliance, and BEV vehicle development (Tesla-specific experience preferred)
  • Deep hands-on expertise with passive safety test equipment and methodologies, including data acquisition systems, high-speed cameras, launchers, deployment systems, and hydraulic rigs, coupled with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in technical communication and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, Tesla-specific diagnostics), with excellent English skills for collaborating with global teams and presenting findings to regulators, agencies, and leadership
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or a related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Proactive leadership style with a focus on team development, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and the ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results under pressure
