As an Engineer – Software Test at Trane, you will play a pivotal role in focusing on ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of Commercial HVAC Digital software and product applications. Your primary responsibilities will include Create test cases, scenarios, based in user stories. Execute manual and automated test cases, Debug automated test scripts and evaluate results to determine the source of anomalous results. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product development, and Product owners to deliver a quality product.
What you will do:
In this role you will:
Create test cases, scenarios, scripts from feature descriptions in JIRA board/test management tools.
Participate in sprint activities like planning, stand-up meetings, Backlog and retrospective meetings. Working on communication protocols like CAN, MODBUS, Serial port, rs232/485.
Execute manual and automated test cases.
Analyze results, report and track defects, verify fixes and perform follow-up work to resolve issues.
Debug automated test scripts and evaluate results to determine the source of anomalous results.
Create & execute regression, ad hoc, bug-verification test cases for final product.
Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.
What you will bring:
1-5 years of experience in Software Testing
Proficient in UI, API, Functional automation testing
Experience in Agile/Scrum environment.
Experience in Embedded testing.
Experience in python or any programming language.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally, with good interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
HVAC product knowledge will be an added advantage.
