Test Coordinator
• 7 + years’ experience in software QA and/or development, with experience working on 3 or more projects from requirements inception to product release.
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Management or Test Coordinator
o Ensure that ambiguity reviews, test plans, and scripts are complete and accurate and that testing is executed on-time and within budget.
o Ensure that testing is performed in a consistent and traceable manner.
o Ability to work in cross-functional teams across multiple levels of the organization.
o Understand existing test bed (if any), understand the new requirements and specifications
o Determine complete scope, complexity and size of testing effort, possibly assign work out to subordinate testers, develop and execute test cases
o Ensure compliance with testing best practices and standards
o Report on QA status to the project team and upper management.
• Proven success in testing large scale, multi-tiered, integrated systems.
• Experienced with Mercury Test Management tools (Quality Center, Test Director) and Rational ClearQuest Defect Tracking tool, or similar defect tracking tools
• Experience with real-time web services and batch feed testing.
• Experience with testing web-based and mainframe applications and testing environments
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical & organizational skills.
• Familiarity with testing automation tools
• Demonstrate follow-through on tracking/resolving application and environmental issues discovered during testing.
• Ability to document all phases of QA process.
• Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects.
• Proven track record in recommending and implementation of QA best practices.
• Experience in the use of HP Quality Center tool as support of the QA process.
• Experience working with offshore teams a plus
