As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Temenos’ global corporate cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across private, public, and hybrid environments while driving the adoption of modern cloud technologies and practices. 

You will collaborate closely with security, operations, and development teams to ensure that cloud environments support business and product goals effectively and securely.  

This role is focused on executing and operating cloud infrastructure at scale, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

You will: 

Cloud Infrastructure 

  • Implement, manage, and uphold the organization’s Cloud Management policies, standards, and best practices. 

  • Design and operate scalable, reliable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments. 

  • Lead and execute migration projects from on-premises systems to the cloud. 

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability and security. 

Automation 

  • Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Apply software engineering principles while doing so. 

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment across environments. 

  • Collaborate with application and platform teams to implement new cloud-native applications and services. 

Security & Mentorship 

 

  • Conduct regular security reviews and compliance checks in line with corporate policies and standards. 

 

 

  • Manage and optimize resource utilization and cloud spend across environments. 

  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation for cloud-related issues. 

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices. 

 

SKILLS 

You should have: 

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Software Engineer, Cloud / DevOps Engineer, or similar role in large-scale enterprise environments. 

  • Profound knowledge on Software Engineering and Design, especially with regards to Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, GoLang, C#) 

  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.) are a plus. 

  • Strong knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub actions/ runners, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) 

  • Deep expertise with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other leading cloud platforms. 

  • Experience in cloud cost management, performance tuning, and automation. 

  • Good understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments. 

  • Familiarity with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models and modern application architectures. 

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
