We are seeking a talented and motivated Technology Portfolio Strategy Associate to join our team in Madrid. This is an excellent opportunity to have a direct impact on our business and contribute to our growth in the technology sector. 

 

What will be your challenges? 

As part of the Technology Portfolio Strategy team, you will lead a group of highperforming Associates and act as a key partner to connect business strategy with project execution, ensuring measurable impact in the field. You will drive strategic initiatives, orchestrate crossfunctional collaboration, and influence senior leadership with datadriven recommendations. This role is ideal for candidates with consulting backgrounds or strategic corporate roles who are ready to take ownership of a highvisibility portfolio and lead a growing team. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and develop a team of Associates, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback while fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. 

  • Oversee and challenge the field and technology analysis of an extensive portfolio (+5 million customers), ensuring the team delivers clear structures, relevant insights, and actionable recommendations. 

  • Drive and review complex business analyses, transforming large data sets into strategic insights that support senior decisionmaking. 

  • Sponsor the creation of business cases, guiding the team in defining robust baselines, future scenarios, and financial/operational implications for new initiatives. 

  • Shape, govern, and prioritize the Service Innovation Roadmap, coordinating with strategic partners to accelerate service development, digital transformation, and operational excellence across markets. 

  • Act as the key orchestrator for multistakeholder initiatives, collaborating with technical, business, legal, data privacy, and Infosec teams to ensure solutions are welldefined, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. 

  • Own and manage strategic roadmaps, ensuring timely and rigorous project execution, proper governance, and alignment with business priorities. 

  • Lead executivelevel communication, reviewing and refining presentations, dashboards, and briefings delivered to top management and country organizations. 

  • Build and maintain hightrust relationships with senior stakeholders, strategic partners, and crossfunctional leaders, acting as a referent in the portfolio strategy domain. 

  • Identify and champion continuous improvement opportunities, challenging the status quo and introducing best practices in portfolio management, innovation frameworks, and operational excellence. 

  • Serve as a thought leader, bringing external perspectives, industry benchmarks, and strategic foresight to portfolio discussions and innovation roadmap decisions. 

 

 

 

Location: 

Permanent hire will be based in Madrid. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, business, or other technical fields (MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred). 

  • 5–7 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (BCG, McKinsey, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, etc.) or comparable strategic roles in high-performing corporate IT/Digital environments. 

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a track record of structuring complex issues and guiding junior team members through ambiguity. 

  • Proven experience leading teams and driving crossfunctional initiatives with high rigor and attention to detail. 

  • Demonstrated ability to review, challenge, and synthesize insights from large volumes of data. 

  • Solid experience in defining strategic/execution plans, PMO functions, and managing multiple projects under dynamic conditions. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a history of building relationships across levels and geographies. 

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Spanish. 

  • Comfortable operating in fastpaced, highvisibility environments with international exposure. 

  • Global mindset and willingness to work with multicultural, distributed teams.
