Technology and Data Risk Manager

We’re looking for a Technology & Data Risk Manager to help us safeguard our technology landscape and support the effective management of risks across a diverse and evolving environment. In this role, you’ll work with colleagues across the business to strengthen our technology resilience, enhance our risk oversight, and influence how we approach emerging technologies, including AI. What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing risk oversight, insight and support across technology, cyber, data and transformation risk domains
  • Identifying and assessing technology‑related risks, including cyber threats, system issues and data risks
  • Engaging with first and second line teams, offering constructive challenge and advisory across global business functions
  • Planning and delivering risk assurance activity, working alongside internal stakeholders and Group Internal Audit
  • Supporting continuous improvement of risk reporting and governance across committees and senior forums
  • Partnering with Compliance to interpret regulatory change and ensure requirements are reflected in risk practices
  • Championing key IT and emerging technology risks, sharing insight and promoting awareness across the organisation
  • Supporting and developing colleagues, helping to build capability within the wider technology and risk community

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in IT risk, technology assurance, cyber, data or transformation risk (1LOD, 2LOD or 3LOD)
  • Strong understanding of IT operations, technology lifecycle, service management and risk frameworks
  • Ability to analyse complex technical information and communicate it clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams and senior levels
  • Knowledge of major change delivery methodologies (agile and waterfall)
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations relating to technology and operational resilience (e.g., PRA, UK Corporate Governance)
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to make sound judgements
  • A collaborative, inclusive and proactive approach to achieving positive outcomes for the business and customers
