Role Overview The Technician, Quality Assurance supports execution of day-to-day quality activities across the supply chain, including manufacturing, distribution, and supplier interfaces. This role performs hands-on inspections, testing, process audits, documentation, and training support to ensure products, processes, and materials meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with Quality Inspectors, the Quality Engineer, and the Quality Systems Specialist, reporting to the Senior Manager of Quality. Duties & Responsibilities Inspection, Testing & Process Audits Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods per defined specifications, work instructions, and inspection plans. Perform process audits to verify adherence to work instructions, control plans, and standard operating procedures. Document audit findings and support follow-up actions for identified gaps. Support Quality Inspectors during inspections, audits, and containment activities. Ensure inspection and audit results are accurately recorded and communicated. Quality Documentation & Data Management Complete and maintain quality documentation supporting inspection activities, inventory holds, defect investigations, rework, corrective actions, and training records. Support ISO 9001 and internal quality system requirements through accurate recordkeeping and document control. Assist with data collection, tracking, and reporting of quality metrics, defects, and trends. Support updates to work instructions, inspection plans, quality forms and training materials as needed. Support delivery of on-the-job quality training to inspectors and operations personnel as directed. Utilize basic Microsoft Excel functions (filters, sorting, simple formulas) to support data tracking and reporting. Defect Control & Correction Action Support Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances to support inspection, defect evaluation, and disposition decisions. Assist the Quality Engineer and Senior Manager of Quality in defect evaluation, disposition, and containment activities. Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes for internal, supplier, and customer-related issues. Manage and track nonconforming material, samples, and evidence in support of corrective actions. Calibration & Equipment Support Support calibration activities for inspection, testing, and production equipment as needed. Assist in maintaining calibration records and ensuring equipment is within required tolerances. Coordinate with internal teams to address out-of-calibration conditions or equipment issues impacting quality. Experience & Qualifications Education High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)General Education Experience Minimum 3 years Quality Assurance experience participating in inspections, process audits, and assisting with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in manufacturing and/or distribution environments Minimum 4 years Familiarity with SAP S/4 – Quality Management (QM) and Materials Management (MM), including inspection planning and quality-related inventory transactions Licenses and Certifications ASQ Certified Quality Technician Software/Technical Skills MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) ERP systems experience (SAO S/4) Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Team focused attitude with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels Strong attention to detail Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances Additional Details for This Role This role will be an onsite role. You are expected to work from the stated job location 5 days a week. #LI-ONSITE Base Salary The targeted base salary range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 hourly. Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data. Additional Compensation Not a Bonus Eligible Role: This role is not eligible to participate in Brother's bonus incentive plan. The base pay accounts for the entirety of the role's annual cash compensation. About Where We Work Brother’s corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA.
