About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Sourcer to partner closely with our CTO and Senior Technical Recruiter to help us attract and engage high-quality, high-bar engineering talent across Europe.
This is not a high-volume, low-quality sourcing role. We care deeply about candidate quality, thoughtful outreach, and strong judgment. You’ll play a key role in building pipelines for hard-to-fill technical roles and in helping us break into competitive, sometimes skeptical talent markets.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong sourcing execution with market insight, sharp candidate judgment, and a high degree of ownership.
What you’ll be doing
Own top-of-funnel sourcing for technical roles across Backend, Frontend, DevOps / Infrastructure, Data, and Engineering Management
Build and execute sourcing strategies for both active hiring needs and future talent pipeline priorities
Create target company lists, market maps, and talent landscapes for key roles and geographies across Europe
Proactively identify, engage, and nurture high-quality passive candidates through LinkedIn and other relevant channels
Write highly personalized outreach that improves response rates and creates genuine candidate interest
Partner closely with the CTO and Technical Recruiter to calibrate role requirements, candidate quality bar, and target profiles
Run and continuously improve sourcing experiments across messaging, channels, and candidate segments
Share talent market insights, including candidate availability, compensation signals, competitor patterns, and common objections
Maintain strong ATS hygiene and keep pipelines structured, searchable, and reusable over time
Help shape how Thrill Labs is positioned to technical talent in a niche and sometimes misunderstood industry
Support early candidate qualification and smooth handoff into the recruiting process
What you’ll need
3+ years of experience sourcing for technical roles, either in-house, in agency/search, or both
Proven track record of sourcing for high-bar engineering roles such as Backend, DevOps / Infrastructure, distributed systems, Frontend, or engineering leadership
Strong success in engaging passive candidates in competitive markets
Experience sourcing across multiple European countries
Solid understanding of technical profiles, stacks, and seniority levels; you do not need to code, but you do need to recognize what strong looks like
Ability to operate with high autonomy, strong judgment, and clear ownership
Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft personalized and compelling outreach
Strong process discipline, including ATS hygiene, candidate tracking, and structured talent mapping
Ability to turn market signals into an actionable sourcing strategy
Confidence partnering directly with technical leaders on profile calibration and search direction
Ability to handle candidate objections credibly, including concerns around industry, startup environment, or remote setup
Comfortable working with urgency and ambiguity in a remote startup / scale-up environment
English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Bonus points for
Experience in iGaming, crypto, fintech, or other high-scale / high-performance environments
Existing network of technical talent across Europe
Experience working in high-bar hiring environments where quality matters more than volume
Familiarity with advanced sourcing techniques such as Boolean, X-ray search, GitHub sourcing, niche communities, referrals, and alternative talent platforms
Experience with sourcing or talent intelligence tools such as Juicebox, HireEZ, Gem, SourceWhale, AmazingHiring, or similar
Additional European language skills
Experience partnering closely with hiring managers or founders in technical calibration discussions
