RVI Technical Specialist / Level 4 Technical Authority (m/w/d)
Location: Europe
Role Overview
As an RVI Technical Specialist (Level 4 Technical Authority), you are recognized as one of the highest technical experts within the organization, operating across Europe and the wider EMEA region.
You lead the most complex and critical application activities in Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) and act as a trusted authority for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
You are the go-to expert for technically demanding inspection challenges, particularly in aerospace and other high-end industrial environments, and play a key role in shaping application standards, best practices, and technology adoption.
This role combines deep technical mastery, strategic influence, and external thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Authority & Advanced Applications
- Act as the highest-level technical expert for RVI solutions across Europe
- Perform and lead the most complex inspection applications, including advanced aircraft engine inspections (e.g. turbine blades, combustion chambers, internal engine components)
- Serve as the final escalation point for technically critical and high-risk inspection scenarios
- Define and standardize best practices for RVI applications across industries and regions
- Provide expert-level technical consulting to key customers and strategic accounts
Strategic Technical Support
- Support high-value and technically complex opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Key Account teams
- Lead proof-of-concepts, validations, and benchmarking activities at top-tier customers
- Develop application strategies for key industries such as aerospace, energy, and advanced manufacturing
Product & Innovation Influence
- Act as a senior interface to Product Management and R&D, influencing product roadmap based on field insights
- Support and shape new product introductions and strategic launches across EMEA
- Contribute to the development of next-generation RVI solutions and applications
Thought Leadership & Industry Engagement
- Represent the organization as a recognized expert in the field of RVI and NDT
- Engage at peer level with leading industry experts, OEMs, MRO organizations, and inspection authorities
- Contribute to industry standards committees, technical working groups, and professional associations
- Deliver presentations at international conferences, trade fairs, and customer events
- Author or contribute to technical papers, application notes, and whitepapers
- Act as a visible ambassador for technical excellence and innovation
Capability Building & Knowledge Transfer
- Mentor and develop Sales Specialists, Application Engineers, and Technical Teams
- Deliver advanced training programs internally and externally
- Drive knowledge sharing and technical excellence initiatives across the organization
Internal Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Service, Marketing, Engineering, and global teams
- Ensure alignment between market needs, technical capabilities, and product development
- Maintain structured documentation of key technical activities and insights
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Technical Background
- Degree in Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Deep expertise in industrial inspection technologies and applications
Professional Experience
- Extensive experience in RVI, NDT, or advanced inspection technologies
- Proven track record in executing highly complex aircraft engine inspections using video borescopes
- Experience working with OEMs, MROs, and high-end industrial customers
- Demonstrated involvement in multi-country or global technical projects
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Recognized authority capable of handling the most complex inspection scenarios in the field
- Ability to engage and influence top-tier experts and decision-makers at peer level
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on technical capability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in international environments
- Ability to translate technical complexity into clear customer value and business impact
Languages & Mobility
- Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus)
- High willingness to travel across Europe and occasionally globally
- Valid driver’s license
