Your Role 

We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to maximize sales and profitability across an assigned territory and industry sector. This role focuses on managing and growing key customer accounts, identifying new selling opportunities, and strengthening cross-selling initiatives within the wider Brenntag business.


You will act as a trusted commercial and technical partner to customers, combining deep product knowledge with strong relationship management to deliver sustainable growth.

Responsibilities 

Sales & Account Management

  • Maximise sales and profit growth within assigned key accounts and territory

  • Serve customer needs by developing a deep understanding of each account’s strategy, requirements, and market dynamics

  • Identify, manage, and convert new selling opportunities

  • Negotiate and close deals, including final pricing agreements

Key Account Strategy & Collaboration

  • Manage local key account relationships and act as the primary commercial contact

  • Align and communicate closely with regional and global Key Account Owners on strategy, planning, and reporting

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive key account knowledge (e.g. customer strategy, market position, future needs)

Business Development

  • Develop new business opportunities, including cross-selling automotive products into broader Brenntag channels

  • Build strong working relationships with regional LMSOs to expand product reach and customer penetration

Reporting & Administration

  • Complete all relevant reporting, CRM updates, and administrative tasks accurately and on time

  • Ensure visibility of account performance and pipeline activity to internal stakeholders

Learning & Development

  • Continuously expand product and market knowledge through structured training and self-development

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and customer needs

Your Profile 

  • In-depth technical knowledge of AdBlue, lubricants, and coolants

  • Proven industry experience within automotive, industrial, or related markets

  • Strong track record in key account management and B2B sales

  • Confident negotiator with experience closing high-value commercial agreements

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong internal and external relationships

  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a matrix organisation
