Technical Project Manager (AI Enablement Team)
The Opportunity:
Join CACI’s AI Enablement Team as a working manager who leads a multidisciplinary team while contributing directly to delivery. You’ll manage engagement intake, prioritize programs, coordinate staffing, and track team performance, while also facilitating use‑case discovery, shaping requirements, and supporting knowledge‑transfer sessions. You’ll guide short (1-2 month) program engagements that deploy practical AI solutions and create operational independence. Working with the Director of AI & Digital Transformation, you’ll balance day‑to‑day team leadership with strategic coordination and continuous improvement of our solution catalog. This role is ideal for technical PMs who enjoy variety, enablement, and driving AI adoption across diverse federal missions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to six engineers and analysts; manage performance, training, and productive bench time.
- Run discovery workshops, translate mission needs into scoped engagement objectives, and ensure high‑quality requirements.
- Oversee Business Analysts and participate in complex stakeholder engagements.
- Define realistic engagement scopes, feasibility, and trade‑offs for 1-2 month delivery cycles.
- Manage intake, triage, prioritization, staffing, and workload balance across the portfolio.
- Coordinate solution‑catalog priorities, provide field‑driven feedback, and align with the solutions engineering team.
- Track and report metrics including engagement throughput, satisfaction, and knowledge‑transfer outcomes.
- Support engagements requiring senior facilitation, ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
- Validate deliverables, documentation, and handoff readiness; resolve escalations and blockers.
- Contribute to methodologies, catalog improvements, and strategic alignment with leadership.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 7+ years professional experience, including 5+ years in project/program management, technical PM, or analyst roles; comfortable working across engineers, managers, and executives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related major.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring or managing technical teams.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices (Git, CI/CD, agile workflows, testing, deployment) and experience supporting or working alongside engineering teams.
- General cloud and infrastructure literacy (containers, networking, architecture basics).
- Practical fluency with AI tools and core GenAI concepts (prompting, RAG, agents, context windows, operational considerations).
- Strong stakeholder management and requirements‑translation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deliver in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments; proficient with GitLab, Jira, Confluence.
- Strong documentation, facilitation, and enablement orientation.
- High adaptability with minimal ramp‑up time across missions and technical contexts.
Desired:
- People‑management, scrum master, or community leadership experience.
- Consulting or multi‑project delivery background with strong knowledge‑transfer outcomes.
- Federal experience and familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ATO, FedRAMP).
- Technical background in engineering, DevOps, architecture, or AI/ML systems.
- Relevant PM or technical certifications (PMP, CSM, SAFe, AWS/Azure, Security+, etc.).

The proposed salary range for this position is:
