As the Technical Program Manager for Optical Components, you will engage with supplier engineers and Apple multi-functional teams to develop and deliver core technologies that create new experiences for our customers. We act as a link between Apple Design and supplier manufacturing processes, focusing on the details that produce brilliant products through high-volume manufacturing. It is our responsibility to ensure that all technical risks associated with a product are identified and closed or mitigated to enable a successful ramp.

Description

In this highly visible technical lead role, the Technical Program Manager (TPM) will drive the technical, operational, and quality aspects of the Optical Manufacturing process to ensure the operational success of the entire product introduction cycle through to mass production.

Minimum Qualifications

BS or MS in a related Engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience in the high-tech industry, with a strong foundation in manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in data analysis tools like Tableau, JMP, SPC, DOE, and quality control methods, including Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, and FACA. Demonstrated leadership in driving problem-solving initiatives, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams to deliver effective solutions, particularly in high-volume production environments. Significant experience in introducing products into manufacturing and/or high-volume production, preferably with Asia-based manufacturing suppliers. Exceptional communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting complex information clearly to large cross-functional teams and executives. Strong organizational and documentation skills to support project management efforts. Self-motivated, with attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to anticipate and address issues early in the development cycle. Understanding of optical lens design, processes, and testing, or automation is a plus. PhD preferred. Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed, up to 50%.
