Technical Media Associate
Job Summary
The Technical Media Associate is expected to support media production and management of the production process. This role combines technical prowess and the ability to create and troubleshoot in the eventuality of technical issues. This role involves overseeing the technical aspects of media equipment, assisting with content creation and editing, and ensuring the smooth operation of media-related systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain media equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting, podcast studio and editing software)
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to media equipment and software.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of media tools and equipment.
- Assist in producing media content, including video, audio, and digital media.
- Edit and refine media content using industry-standard software and tools.
- Support the core communications team in the execution of briefs where needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members/clients/space users on media equipment and software.
- Manage and organise media equipment and software assets, including tracking inventory and coordinating repairs or replacements.
- Ensure all media equipment and software are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Maintain accurate records of studio equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs to ensure smooth operation.
- Prepare reports on media production, equipment status, and any technical issues encountered.
- Work closely with the communications and project teams in the Hubs to achieve predetermined goals.
Physical Requirement
- Ability to lift and move media equipment and materials.
- Capacity to work in various environments, including studios, offices, and on-location settings.
Experience
- 2-3 years of proven experience with media equipment and software, including cameras, editing software, and audio equipment.
- Experience in using media editing software
- Experience in media production or technical support roles, especially audio, is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
This role is fully onsite in our Entertainment and Media Hub in Lekki
