Technical Lead
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of systems powering the Property marketplace — listings, search, filters, maps, A/B testing, SEO, etc.
Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Drive adoption of engineering best practices, code reviews, automation, CI/CD, observability, etc.
Team & People Management
Manage a team of backend and frontend engineers (5–10 people).
Provide mentorship, career growth plans, and regular feedback.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture.
Product Delivery
Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define scope and milestones.
Ensure timely delivery of features and projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Translate business goals into technical deliverables and track execution.
Marketplace Optimization
Drive improvements in platform performance, SEO, search relevancy, and user engagement.
Optimize for conversion metrics (e.g., inquiry rate, listing views) and seller satisfaction.
8+ years and above in software development with 3+ years in engineering leadership roles.
Strong experience with web-scale backend systems on Java / Golang.
Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React/Vue) and mobile platforms is a plus.
Solid understanding of databases, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), API design, and system architecture.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and test automation.
Proven ability to lead and motivate engineering teams.
