About the Role – Tech Lead
As Tech Lead, you will report directly to the CTO and play a central role in guiding the technical direction of Exelab’s delivery teams. You will also contribute to strengthening Exelab’s AWS partnership by promoting best practices, architectural excellence, and continuous technical upskilling across the team.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you will actively contribute to coding and solution design while leading technical decision-making across projects. You will act as a reference point for engineering excellence, architecture, security, and delivery quality, helping the team scale while maintaining high technical standards.
You will also be a key stakeholder in Exelab’s information security strategy, contributing to the continuous acquisition and maintenance of certifications such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2, and embedding security best practices into everyday engineering work.
What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership & Hands-on Development
Act as a technical reference for solutions built on AWS, Twilio, HubSpot, and Databricks.
Lead the technical design and architecture of complex, cloud-native systems.
Actively contribute to development through hands-on coding when needed.
Define, maintain, and evolve coding standards, architectural guidelines, and engineering best practices.
Perform and supervise code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and scalability.
Delivery & Collaboration
Collaborate closely with the CTO, Project Managers, and Revenue Team to align on technical roadmaps, estimations, and priorities.
Support planning and capacity allocation across Front-End, Back-End, and DevOps together with leadership.
Ensure high-quality delivery by monitoring key engineering KPIs such as velocity, lead time, and defect rate.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across tools, processes, and ways of working.
Security & Compliance
Embed security-by-design principles into system architecture and development workflows.
Supervise CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud security practices.
Act as a technical stakeholder in ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance processes, contributing to:
Security controls definition and implementation
Technical documentation and evidence collection
Continuous improvement of security posture
Promote secure coding practices and risk awareness across the engineering team.
Team Growth & Mentorship
Contribute to Exelab’s internal training framework, supporting continuous learning and certification paths, particularly around AWS and cloud-native architectures.
Provide continuous feedback, coaching, and technical mentorship to team members.
Support individual growth paths, helping engineers strengthen both technical and professional skills.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and engineering excellence.
