Job Purpose
Ninjas in Pyjamas is seeking a Team Operations Manager to be the logistical prodigy of our esports department. This individual must be the most organized person in the room, consistently seeking ways to work smarter. They will oversee the day-to-day operations of our players. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. We are looking for an outgoing and social individual who can work effectively in a team-oriented esports environment. While previous esports experience is appreciated, it is not a requirement for this role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Operations:
Manage and coordinate daily operations for our athletes, including player management, partner activations, merchandise, bootcamp planning, budgets, media, and travel arrangements.
Work closely with coaches for our teams, ensuring smooth coordination of events, travel arrangements, bootcamp planning, and budgets.
Develop and implement efficient processes to streamline team operations and enhance overall productivity.
Build and maintain excellent relations with your players and colleagues; stakeholder management is key for this position. Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Team Operations Manager and other team managers.
Communication with esports senior management on what is being observed in player wellbeing and lifestyle.
Player Wellbeing
Be a strong culture ambassador of NIP values and drive engagement, educating the players on these values.
Assist players in overcoming challenges and remove obstacles, both reactively and proactively.
Consistently elevate the level of our player experience, anchored in our ambition to be the best in the world from a player experience perspective every day.
Administrative
Working proactively to scout upcoming tournament destinations for your players and providing briefings.
Keep track of the players’ inventory, such as merchandise and peripherals.
Being responsible for tracking deadlines for the team, such as roster locks, tournament invites, and ticket requests.
