Position: Tasker

Shift: First Shift

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $20.75

  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving mindset, go getter, and the ability to solve complex system problems within the Blue Yonder WMS system.
  • Clear shorts, allocation errors, and replenishment orders throughout the workday.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage "Shorts" by investigating whether the product is physically missing, misplaced, or stuck in a different functional area (e.g., inbound receiving or returns)
  • Monitor orders (waves) in the system to ensure orders are 100% picked and staged.
  • Manage systematic unpicking of displaced pallets to facilitate the immediate re-release of work orders, ensuring seamless order fulfillment. Coordinate with the Inventory Control department and Site Leadership via formal email communication to report and track inventory discrepancies.
  • Track all short 'cuts' in the system throughout your day to maintain system accuracy for the customer.
  • Manage the work queue in Blue Yonder to ensure orders are being picked at priority.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills through Teams and Email communications.
  • Taskers may need to go out on the dock floor to identify missing pallets when Lead isn't present.
  • Taskers need to be able to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
  • Works closely with Lead and Supervisor to develop a strategy on how to accomplish labor plan goals based off business needs.
  • Positive attitude, drama free, business-oriented individual.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with little supervision.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to time-critical SAP processing windows to maintain seamless supply chain continuity and meet rigorous Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Role Purpose:

The primary duty of this position is to expedite transactions through the warehouse management system. Taskers provide information and resolve issues with customers, carriers, and warehouse associates. The role may support the outbound, inbound or parcel functions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan, allocate, pick, manifest, and close daily waves of orders.
  • Understand and utilize system screens to monitor and move workload through the system.
  • Work closely with operations to identify and eliminate overages, shorts and damages causing inventory issues.
  • Manage the scheduling of inbound carriers and the outbound shipping schedule by updating appropriate communication methods.
  • Generate and utilize system reports and audit sheets to evaluate the shift progress.
  • Communicate directly with the carrier(s) to insure seamless physical and systematic transactions.
  • Oversee exchange of parcel shipments from shipping dock to carrier’s truck.
  • Resolve data transmission failures/errors with customer’s IT and procurement teams.
  • Interface with IT contacts in event of system-related barriers.
  • Insure complete communication for turn of shift.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Six months warehouse experience, preferred
  • 0-1 years experience in data entry and/or dispatch, preferred
  • Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Excel, preferred
