Guidance: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or electrical & electronics engineering or electronics & communication or Mechanical engineering with minimum of 7-9 years of related experience; or master's degree with minimum 5 to 7 years of relative experience; or PhD with 3 to 6 years of relative experience. Ability to define and/or develop hardware and software packages suitable for Camera interface and control including understanding of lighting requirements based on ambient and surface characteristics. Ability to define Camera PoV, Auto Focus for a given application and derive suitable solutions Knowledge about Robotics & Computer Vision preferred Troubleshooting engineering problems, reviewing test results, influencing design changes, and supporting system integration Working with vendors to develop competitive products with business needs in mind and providing remote and onsite support to field personnel Excellent proactive communication and presentation skills to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, internal and external partners Proficiency in understanding system specifications and theory of operation for the entire process/transport module. Experience in system level understanding of Electro-Mechanical Sub-systems, Control systems and/or Industrial Automation. Experience in problem solving tools: 8D, PS&DM and leading System FMEA, System reliability concepts, design for safety Proficiency in statistical analysis methods: Regression, Montecarlo, Factor analysis and execution/delivery on tight time schedules Preferred knowledge of JMP and other data analysis software, Python and other languages Experience with multi modal sensor fusion - Monocular cameras, RGBD cameras, laser scanners etc. Familiar with various etch, dep & clean process technology and experience with capital equipment Industry (for e.g., process industries, aircraft, robotics etc.) Hands-on experience in testing in laboratory environment, verification, debugging and qualifications of mechanical and electrical systems Proficiency and hands on experience to take complex subsystem design from concepts to HVM production. Knowledge in SEMI, ASME, ANSI, ISO, IPC standards or equivalent and Experience in program management and MATLAB coding Good communication skills and experience of working in cross-functional teams in a matrix organization As a Systems Engineer at Lam, you'll design complex frameworks, systems, or products for our wafer fabrication equipment. You will define system specifications, requirements, parameters, and compatibility to integrate hardware, software, and firmware into a cohesive system. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses combined with your multi-layered technical expertise you help shape the next generation of Lam initiatives. Responsible for performing Camera, lens & lighting selection and its corresponding interface design and development, modification, tool upgrade and testing Continuously improves existing Equipment Intelligence features and drives the development and system integration of the solutions Coordinates with cross functional teams including mechanical, electrical, controls, software, robotics, vision system and product support Participation in system architecture analysis and developing system models Presents test plans, test data, technical proposals, tradeoffs, etc. Learning about strategic product issues from Level 28 & above and ensures team members compliance with PDR/DDR process and driving continuous improvement of systems, products, and processes. Experience in the development, and refinement of functional specifications for electrical systems and power distribution Learn Products, PDR processes & DFMEA principles and Owns PDR tasks/Simple sub-system/medium complex CIP/Medium complex designs using appropriate project management tools. Outstanding analysis and proven trouble-shooting skills and ability to drive functional requirements & execute in a dynamic team environment Mentors, coordinates & approves work executed from level 26 & below and coordinates with all stakeholders for work priorities/escalations
